Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the land
Heroes were working to educate
So more would understand.
Our cats don’t deserve hate
For they are like any other critter,
But they need all of our help
To prevent another litter.
So many abandoned to the streets,
Out-of-sight, out-of-mind,
The folks that step up to help
Are the extraordinary kind.
Each donates their time and money,
But why do this they say?
The answer is simple:
It’s the humane way.
Through trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR),
The number of homeless cats will fall;
This compassionate approach
Gifts better lives for all.
“Now, Dasher! now, Dancer!
On, Cupid and Blizten!
Lend yourself and your hands
So we can do even more fixin’.
Together we will show
That cats’ lives really do matter;
TNVR works
So let the non-believers scatter.
Despite all of the obstacles
Including their position of inferiority,
We must overcome them all
To FINALLY make cats a priority.
Then I heard him exclaim,
Ere he drove out of sight -
“Happy Christmas to all”
And let’s get this right!
